Listening materials
Not too many of these now, just whatever happened to have come included with a graded-reader or has been recorded by us teachers. One thing, though, that I enjoyed making were CD-ROM versions of graded-readers. With just a mouse click, students can see and hear either the whole illustrated story or any of its individual words; a simple "listen and find the word" game is also included. Feel free to contact me if you're curious about these.
(In fact, since computer-programming is one of my fave things to do, I'd encourage any teachers -- no matter how computer inept they may think they are -- to visit the Metacard site or its Crossworlds twin. This is the best and easiest way for teachers to do more with a computer besides word-processing or playing solitaire.)
